Weighing and Delivery Information

All Loads will be probed to obtain an accurate, representative sample. 

Only merchantable grain will be accepted for delivery.

Management reserves the right to reject any load for any reason.

Any loads of corn or soybeans or oats that are sour, musty, COFO, heating or infested will be subject to rejection or the proper discountswill be applied if taken. If you are not satisfied with the grading of your grain you may request an official USDA grade at your expense.  

Drivers and haulers must provide accurate information to the scale operator that includes owner’s name, split percentages (for multiple owners) and disposition. 

Grain may be:

  1. Stored
  2. Sold at the day’s closing price and if on a weekend or holiday the opening price the first day the CBOT trades.
  3. Applied to a grain contract
  4. Priced later.

Contracts

Purchase contracts will be settled before any other disposition. Contracts will be settled in order written (1st in, 1st out). 

Over Delivery:  Any delivery in excess of contracted quantity will be stored at time of settlement unless WFR has other instructions PRIOR to settlement.

Under Delivery:  10 cents a bushels plus the difference in basis adjusted board price at the time the contract was written and the delivery date of the last load.

Warehouse Storage

Storage rates for open storage and warehouse receipt for corn is $0.14 for the first 90 days and $0.00111 per day thereafter. Soybeans are $.16 per bushel for 90 days and $0.00125 per day per bushel after 90 days.

Grain Bank Storage

Corn delivered for grain bank will be charged  $0.14 for the first 90 days and $0.00111 per bushel per month. Corn may not be sold. It must be used as processed feed or put into storage.

Price Later

Price Later contracts MUST BE SIGNED BEFORE settlement can be made. If contracts are not signed and settlement must be made, grain will be settled to open storage (corn dried and shrunk to 14.0%).

Corn or soybeans delivered and placed on price later will be charged a service charge of 10¢ per bushel plus 1/10 ¢ per bushel/ per day until priced. The final pricing date for price later contracts will be 60 days after delivery. If they are not priced by that time they will be placed in storage.  

CORN

Corn Deliveries - Direct ship grain will be subject to the policies and discounts of the delivery point.

Corn placed in storage (open storage or warehouse receipt) or placed in grain bank  will be dried to 14.0% moisture and shrunk using a 1.4 percent factor.

Corn sold and placed on contract will be dried and shrunk to 15.0% moisture.
